2007 APEC e-Learning Training Program will begin with its 5th round in June with continuous support and attention from member economies. To provide more high-valued and customized programs, the APEC e-Learning Training Program has been improved based on achievements last year and needs analysis from the participants. Particularly in 2007, Collaborative Study and Pre-training courses will be strengthened and outstanding experts will be invited more as guest speakers. And more various experiences for Field Training are planned.
Regarding the 5th round Training Program scheduled in June, IACE requested member economies to recommend next generation leaders in education informatization and e-Learning. With the selected trainees among applicants based on the recommendation from each economy, the 5th Training Program will start tentatively from June 26 for 10 days after completion of on-line Pre-training.
Last year, 4 rounds of the APEC e-Learning Training Program were successfully implemented cultivating 127 trainees from 8 economies with the help of member economies. Especially, even after completion of the Training Program, trainees voluntarily organized the learning communities in their own economies to expand the acquired outcomes and achievements from the Training. The communities in Chile, Indonesia, and Thailand showed below could be advisable examples for follow-up activities to upcoming trainees this year.
IACE wishes this Program to strengthen international cooperation in the APEC region and hopes continuous interests and participation from economies in the APEC e-Learning Training Program in 2007 as well.
